The next superstar drummer

Johnny, 9, is an energetic and bubbly boy. You would never know that he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - rare cancer, at the age of 6 when you see him today.

Johnny is from a loving mixed family, his mum Melissa is Chinese, and his dad Ben is Kiwi. His sister's name is Oliver, and they have kept a dog called Millie.

Johnny loves music! He wished to receive an electric drum kit and some other drum supplements…

So we arranged for Johnny to visit Rockshop Henderson to help him choose what would be appropriate for his age and experience for his drum set wish. 

Added to Johnny's surprise,  Auckland Drum School kindly offered to show Johnny and his family around their studio to help Johnny get to know the drum. Moreover, Ted Manson provided the family with a limo ride to the studio! We would also like to extend a massive thank you to photographer Chris Turner who took so many amazing photos for our superstar!

After returning home, Johnny was stunned to discover that an electric drum kit had already been set up for him! The drumming journey of this young drummer has just begun! ✨
